Resilient Roots
Nurturing Youth Wellness in the Climate Crisis
About
About project
The project RESILIENT ROOTS is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus + programme within the YOUTH framework. Indeed, the focus of the project is young people, who nowadays suffer from negative feelings towards the future, such as discouragement, mistrust and chronic anxiety. These emotions are caused by the growing concern about environmental degradation, climate change and anthropogenic pollution and are nowadays defined with the term ‘eco-anxiety’.
The aim of the project is to create innovative resources and tools for young people to help them combat these feelings and make them active citizens to make positive change.
About
Project goals
The project aims to help young people cope with eco-anxiety—negative emotions such as fear, mistrust, and discouragement caused by environmental and climate concerns. It seeks to raise awareness, provide practical tools and training for youth educators, and empower young people to turn anxiety into action through educational resources, an Eco-Camp, and local eco-initiatives that promote active citizenship and positive environmental change.
